FortuixAgent Scam in Sri Lanka Exposed

🔎 What’s Going On?

A dangerous crypto trading scam is targeting Sri Lankans using deepfake videos, fake PayPal dashboards, and AI-written news articles. The scam revolves around a platform called FortuixAgent (also referred to as 42X Agent), falsely promoted as a government-backed investment app.

To make it more believable, scammers are using a deepfake video of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, claiming he personally endorses the program to help “end poverty in Sri Lanka.”

But this is a complete fabrication.

In reality, FortuixAgent is a scam, and the entire setup — including fake testimonials, dashboards, and staged media interviews — is part of a well-orchestrated hoax.

⚠️ FortuixAgent Scam: What They Claim

Here’s what the scam websites and Telegram channels are claiming:

  • That President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has endorsed a new trading platform to give citizens passive income.
  • That journalist Kalindu Karunarathna hosted a live interview on TV promoting it.
  • That anyone who deposits Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 90,000 can earn up to Rs. 4 million per month.
  • That the trading is fully automated using AI, with “98% successful trades”.
  • That users will see profit in “just 7 minutes”, with instant PayPal withdrawals.

They show fake dashboards, doctored screenshots, and AI-generated Facebook comments from fake users to sell the illusion.

We’ve archived a screenshot of the fake news article claiming President Anura Kumara Dissanayake endorsed FortuixAgent — which is completely false.

These scam websites often disappear fast, so we captured this for evidence. It uses:

  • A real talk show set (360)
  • Fake quotes and interviews
  • Logos from real universities
  • Clickbait headlines like “Millionaires have gone mad!”

🎭 Deepfake Video: AI-Generated Lies

The deepfake video of Anura Kumara Dissanayake features a synthetic voice and animation claiming:

“As Prime Minister, I personally guarantee monthly payouts of up to Rs. 750,000…”

This video was generated using AI facial mapping and voice cloning tools, making it appear shockingly real. But it’s completely fake.

🚨 Red flags in the deepfake video:

  • He is the President, not Prime Minister.
  • Governments do not provide guaranteed ROI from crypto.
  • Statements like “only 4,000 accounts available” are urgency tricks to trap users in FOMO.
